Fritz Knoebel School of Hospitality Management at the University of Denver

Since 2012, the Fritz Knoebel School of Hospitality Management at the University of Denver has the most awarded faculty in hospitality education in the nation, making it one of the top-ranked hospitality schools in the country.  Some 3,400 students have graduated from the school, matriculating into management positions all over the world in areas of restaurant/food and beverage, conference services, revenue management and lodging real estate.  By the time students graduate, they have extensive work experience and have lived abroad so they can begin their careers in full stride to seize new opportunities.

Metropolitan State University’s School of Hospitality

Located in the heart of downtown Denver, Metropolitan State University’s School of Hospitality is the only program in the U.S. that has a LEED Gold® hotel, a commercial conference space, a state-of-the-art beverage testing laboratory, a commercial restaurant, and a working brewery all on campus.  It is the largest hospitality program in the region, offering programs in hospitality leadership, brewery operations, event & meeting management, and hotel management, with a concentration in outdoor recreation available.   The school’s experienced faculty have years of actual experience and they continue be an active part of Colorado’s hospitality industry.

Hospitality Management Program, Colorado State University

Located in Fort Collins, Colorado State University has 34,000 students, 2,000 faculty and eight colleges offering 55 academic programs.  A Hospitality Management major combines courses in foodservice, lodging, event planning, nutrition, and business to provide students with a strong skill set for entry into hospitality management professions. All of the hospitality faculty come from the hospitality industry and recognize the value of experiential learning with programs to get you out of the classroom and into real-life environments through internships, work practicums, field trips, team-based projects, presentations and role-playing. The on-campus Aspen Grille provides a learning laboratory to gain experience in all aspects of restaurant operations.

University of Northern Colorado, Recreation, Tourism & Hospitality Program

Founded in 1889, the University of Northern Colorado has 13,000 students and offers 100 undergraduate programs.  The Recreation, Tourism & Hospitality (RTH) program prepares students for leadership and management positions in the leisure and hospitality industries. The RTH program uses a project-based design that allows students to tailor their program to fit specific career niches within two primary sectors of the hospitality industry:  the arts, entertainment and recreation sector; or the hospitality industry, accommodation and food services sector. Local, state and national internships are a primary part of the program, allowing practical education and experience with profit, non-profit and government agencies.  With the university’s just-right size and 17:1 student to faculty ratio, the program offers a tradition of hands-on learning to give students exceptional opportunities and a personalized education.

Colorado Mesa University, Hospitality Management Program

Occupying 141 acres in the heart of Grand Junction, Colorado Mesa University was founded in 1925 and has 11,000 students.  The Hospitality Management Program provides the necessary knowledge to work across the functional areas of hospitality in today's global environment. The industry continues to grow and will experience a supply shortage of qualified career-oriented professionals in the future. The hospitality industry leads all business sectors in embracing diversity and providing opportunities for minorities and women. Opened 2020, the Hotel Maverick is located on the campus and combined with a rooftop restaurant and bar and a gourmet coffee shop, offers unique opportunities for hospitality management and culinary arts students to gain real-world education.  Recent internships have provided practical experience at everyplace from the Broadmoor to Disney and Princess Cruises.
