Steeped in Latino heritage, the District comes alive as art-lovers descend upon Santa Fe Drive, rain or shine, for the First Friday Art Walks. View art from hundreds of artists in galleries, studios, co-ops, upstairs, downstairs, in alleys, on the street—everywhere!
Famous for its street art and industrial revival, explore various locations and events ranging from art openings to live music. Don’t forget to check out the RiNo ArtPark, an innovative interdisciplinary arts center where everyone is welcome to create, explore and connect!
First Friday Art Walks provide an intimate, family-friendly art experience on South Pearl Street, where artists offer live demonstrations on the sidewalks, in addition to live music, great restaurant options and a friendly community.
Come visit the distinct’s diverse galleries, studios, boutiques and gift shops up and down 38th Avenue from Sheridan Boulevard to Wadsworth Boulevard. Experience a unique holiday shopping experience and one-of-a-kind gifts.
Enjoy a district-wide Día de los Muertos celebration in partnership with the Chicano Humanities & Arts Council (CHAC) and Pirate: Contemporary Art. View ofrendas built to honor lost loved ones created by local Latinx artists, watch fire dancers and Aztec dancers, join a procession, enjoy works of art by local elementary school students, and grab light bites and drinks!
This entire city block is devoted to galleries and studio spaces for artists. First Friday is the ideal time to visit when the entire block opens from 6-9 p.m.
Stroll the streets and explore your creative side. Meet the artists displaying their fascinating work at local galleries, and don’t miss out on the Art Drop scavenger hunt.
