Denver is a city like no other, so it makes sense that it offers some truly unique touring options, from old-school trolley trips to zippy scooter excursions to walking tours with a twist. No matter how you want to explore The Mile High City, there’s a tour for you!
DENVER TROLLEY
Denver once had an extensive electric-rail system that covered the city and connected it with nearby Golden and Boulder. Trolley service was discontinued in 1950, but you can experience a little piece of history on Car No. 25, Denver’s last remaining electric railway car. The Denver Trolley travels on the rails along the west bank of the South Platte River from Confluence Park (behind REI) to lower Colfax Avenue, stopping along the way at the Downtown Aquarium, the Children's Museum of Denver at Marsico Campus and the Broncos Bridge across from Empower Field at Mile High. A round-trip ride takes about 25 minutes and includes narration about Denver’s history. The Denver Trolley runs Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day. All aboard!
