In this episode, join the Jurek family on their awesome day trip adventure, taking the Winter Park Express ski train to Winter Park Resort to enjoy some snow tubing before heading back to the city to take in Meow Wolf Denver’s Convergence Station, an otherworldly and interactive artistic experience.
Scott Jurek is a professional ultra-runner and bestselling author. He and his wife, Jenny, and their two kids board the unique ski train, which ties together the area’s rich skiing and railroad history as it carries passengers through some of Colorado’s most beautiful landscapes. They arrive at Winter Park Resort, one of the more family-friendly ski resorts in the state.
After enjoying a thrilling day of tubing down a banked course, they head back to the city to check out Meow Wolf Denver’s Convergence Station, a permanent exhibition where some 300 artists, 110 of them from Colorado, contributed to create an artistic experience unlike anything they’ve ever seen.
Then they head to The Rally Hotel at McGregor Square, Denver’s new downtown playground next to Coors Field, and celebrate the day with ice cream.
