Explore 16 sparkling blocks with more than 600 trees adorned with nearly a million twinkling lights at Winter Wanderland Light Walk (daily, Nov. 18–Dec. 31, 2021). Illuminated 24-hours a day with LED energy-efficient bulbs, the stunning canopy creates a bright and festive atmosphere, even as the days get shorter. Visitors are encouraged to wander the neighborhood to find eight special musical trees, elaborately decorated with strands of lights choreographed to music in a timed show. At each musical tree, visitors can register to win a $1,000 Cherry Creek North shopping spree!
There's no such thing as too many lights during the holidays, so in addition to the Winter Wanderland Light Walk, Cherry Creek North is also proud to host domino effect (daily, Nov. 18–Dec. 31, 2021). Making its United States debut in Cherry Creek North this year, this interactive art installation features 120 brightly colored dominos, each with its own sound profile. This international exhibit by Ingrid Ingrid is an entertaining experience that brings people together, fostering a spirit of cooperation. Visitors are encouraged to play together and collaborate in an outdoor setting, creating an infinite variety of musical and luminous effects in the process.
Holiday shopping at Cherry Creek North
Cherry Creek Holiday Market (daily, Nov. 18–Dec. 24, 2021) is an outdoor market featuring a wide variety of art, apparel, prepared foods and other unique gifts from more than 30 local makers, designers and creators. Shop gifts for everyone on your list with festive drinks in hand while enjoying live performances. Find it on Fillmore Plaza (between 1st and 2nd avenues) in Cherry Creek North.
Shoppers should mark their calendars for Small Business Weekend (Nov. 26–28, 2021). This annual event highlights Cherry Creek North’s more than 125 locally owned shops and 30-plus locally owned restaurants and invites visitors to join the nationwide Shop Small movement to help small businesses and communities thrive. Take a quick shopping break at Valet Plaza to admire the spectacular Christmas tree.
Chabad of Cherry Creek will host the neighborhood's annual Chanukah Celebration (Nov. 28, 2021, 4:30–6:30 p.m.) on the first night of Chanukah. The festivities (which are open to the public) take place at Gart Plaza on 3rd Avenue and Milwaukee Street and include a community Menorah Lighting celebration, a fire show, hot drinks, latkes, traditional sweet treats, face painting, crafts and other fun activities for all ages.
